Most AI writing reads like AI writing.
Not because the model is bad. Because nothing in the loop is allowed to say this is not good enough yet. Cold Copy is that loop: an eight-stage writing agent with an adversarial editorial gate the draft has to get past before it reaches you.
No card for the first article.
What actually happens
One article is roughly thirty model calls across eight stages. It takes about twenty minutes, and you can watch every stage as it runs.
- InterviewIt asks about the idea the way an editor would — the angle, the stake, what you know first-hand that nobody else does.
- ResearchThree researchers work in parallel: what has already been said, the hard numbers, and who is on record. Every fact carries a source URL, a date, and a confidence rating.
- Strategy & outlineThe big idea, the argument, the turn. What the piece is actually for.
- Style contractA device and variance budget written before the draft, so the prose has a shape instead of a default.
- DraftWritten section by section against that contract, reaching for your own first-hand specifics.
- The gateSeven auditors grade it adversarially. Fail, revise, repeat.
- PolishRead-aloud cadence, a non-recap ending, three title options.
The gate is the product
Six of the seven auditors are language models, each given one lens and told to find what is wrong rather than to review: slop, sell integrity, craft, factual integrity, voice, and whether the piece reads like a metronome. A claim that cannot be traced to the research pack or to something you said yourself is a hard fail, every time.
The seventh is not a model. It counts. Em-dash density, LLM-register vocabulary, signature constructions, sentence openings — measured against a real corpus of human writing rather than judged. A model cannot talk it round, because it has no opinion. It pairs with the voice auditor: that one judges your voice, this one measures it.
Then a final judge that saw none of the above reads the finished piece cold and tells you, plainly, whether it reads as human. That verdict ships with the article. We would rather you see it than not.
It writes in your voice, not a voice
Paste in things you have already written — emails, posts, notes, anything that sounds like you. Cold Copy builds a profile from them and measures every draft against it. Fill in the brand brain once (what you sell, to whom, why it is different) and every article afterwards is grounded in your business rather than in a generic idea of it.
Pricing: you read it, then you price it
The first article is free. After that, when an article finishes you read it and pay what it was worth — one of three options. Each payment funds the next article. No subscription, nothing to cancel, and if a piece wasn't worth the lowest option, you keep it and pay nothing.
